Take the CTA Red or Green Line to the Cermak/Chinatown stop. The Museum is about a quarter-mile walk from the train stop. There are also several CTA buses that are convenient for the Museum. Please check with www.transitchicago.com for route and schedule information.

Take Lake Shore Drive south to Roosevelt Road, turn right (W) on Roosevelt to State Street, turn left (S) on State to Archer Avenue, turn right (SW) on Archer to Wentworth, turn left (S) on Wentworth to 23rd Street; turn right on 23rd to the Museum.

Take I-90/I-94 (Kennedy/Edens) South to exit 52C towards 18th Street, turn left (E) on 18th to Canal Street, turn right (S) on Canal to Cermak Road, turn left (E) on Cermak to Princeton Avenue, turn right (S) on Princeton to 23rd Street; turn left (E) on 23rd to the Museum.

Take I-55 (Stevenson) north to exit 293A toward Cermak Road/Chinatown. Turn left (W) on Cermak and turn left again (S) almost immediately on Wentworth; turn right on 23rd Street to Museum.

Take I-90/I-94 (Dan Ryan) west to exit 54 toward 31st Street, merge on to LaSalle Street, which merges into Wentworth Avenue. Take Wentworth Avenue north to 23rd Street; turn left (W) to Museum.

Admission is always free, but we welcome entrance donations to support our work!

Group visits by appointment only. Guided tours available.
Please submit your reservation request at least two weeks before your desired visit date. As a small museum, we cannot guarantee availability for specific dates and times, but we will do our best to accommodate your group.

Research Request and Collection Access
The Chinese American Museum of Chicago encourage the use of our Collections and Archives for research, publication, educational, and community heritage purposes. The CAMOC Collections and Archives is open to researchers Tuesday to Saturday with the exception of Thursday afternoons. Appointments are available in two (2) hour intervals from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm. A researcher may make back-to-back appointments if that is needed to complete their work.
To make an appointment, please fill out the following form as thoroughly as possible and submit it at least four (4) weeks prior to the desired dates. Once the form is received, our Collections staff will contact you to discuss your research, confirm the availability of materials, and schedule a visit.

Mobility
A ramp is located on the exterior left side of the museum, next to the mural. An elevator operates between all public floors inside the museum.
Parking
Reserved accessible parking spaces are located in the parking lot.
Service Animals
Trained service animals, as defined by the ADA, are welcome in all areas of the museum. No other animals are permitted in the museum galleries.
Restrooms
Accessible and universal restrooms are located on each public floor.
