$50.00

Elegant handmade ceramic cup.

Materials: Porcelain

Dimensions: 2.5” x 3.5” x 3.5”

Meet the Artist: Fengzee Yang

Born in China and shaped by a nomadic life, Fengzee Yang explore the tension between rootedness and alienation through her art. Blending organic and inorganic forms, she craft snarratives of identity and self-exploration. Her practice bridges the spiritual and tangible, delving into the longing, loss, and nostalgia that breathe in distant yet interconnected narratives.

Yang’s process reflects on absence, using symbols like empty hooks, drawers, and enigmatic shapes to evoke dislocated realities and a yearning for spiritual groundness. These elements draw from her personal experiences, portraying time as a fluid continuum and creating landscapes unbound by specific places or moments.

Through her practice, Yang explores the depths of the human condition, resonating with the universal experience of searching and longing. Shaped by shifting geographies and identities, her work invites a journey beyond the present, into realms of possibility and connection.
