Join us at CAMOC on Saturday, October 17, for a special embroidery activation with artist Percy Lam as part of Open House Chicago 2026!
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Percy Lam immigrated to Hawaii as a teenager and is now based in Chicago. A fiber-based artist, his work explores memory, identity, and his connection to his hometown. Through embroidery, weaving, and neon, Lam documents Hong Kong’s changing landscape, particularly its disappearing neon signs.
His exhibition, Percy Lam: Light Light Light Show, brings together works that reflect on the city’s visual history and the experience of looking back at home from afar.
Stop by CAMOC to meet the artist, explore his work, and take part in this special embroidery activation!
