Chinese American NASA Space Pioneers

Chinese people have dreamed of and traditionally celebrated the Moon for thousands of years. Please join us for the special free zoom webinar entitled “Chinese American NASA Space Pioneers” which discusses the first Chinese people in history who helped humanity get there. Chinese Americans Gilroy Chow and William Moon both worked on the Apollo 11 Program which landed the first Man on the moon, with Gilroy Chow helping to design the lunar module while William Moon worked in Johnson Space Center Mission Control. In this webinar they will discuss their work on the early Apollo Moon missions including that of the ill-fated Apollo 13 where they worked in a large team to rectify the crisis. This webinar is a rare collaboration between participating Chinese American Museums including the Chinese American Museum of Chicago, the Museum of Chinese in America, the Mississippi Delta Chinese Heritage Museum, the Chinese American Historical Society Museum and the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum.  You can register for this webinar at the QR link in the flyer or directly at the zoom link button
