Book Synopsis:

Living in the outskirts of Chicago's Chinatown, Vanessa Jade Lee always believed that she knew the truth about herself and her family. Her days have been filled with nothing but bliss and joy...or so it seems... For the past ten years, she had set her eyes forward, determined to forget, trying desperately to flee from the pain of the past.

But all efforts to avoid such memories slowly unravel when she encounters a mysterious photograph that threatens to tear apart her family and the reality of its troubled past.
